Capt. David C. Koch will share a little-known chapter in the history of commercial spaceflight, and his vision of how you’re going to get to space.
Capt. Koch has been a commercial-spaceflight activist since the 1970s. While a pilot for United Airlines in the 1970s and 1980s, he also served as the Founding National Chairman of the American Society of Aerospace Pilots. He was the first, and only, airline pilot to learn to fly the Space Shuttle. Capt. Koch has also served in leadership and committee positions with several space-related organizations like the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA), Aviation/Space Writers Association (AWA), National Space Society (NSS) and Space Week. He is also a serial entrepreneur with several aerospace-industry startups to his credit.
