Event Thu 10/4: Space Law and Startups

Fresh from the First United Nations Conference on Space Law and Policy, Charles Lee Mudd Jr. will return to NewSpace Chicago to provide a two-part presentation.  First, he will summarize the proceedings from the UNOOSA conference held in Moscow hosted by ROSCOSMOS. Second, he will provide a hypothetical walkthrough of legal issues facing a commercial space startup.  Specifically, he will walk the audience through the steps involved in talk to an attorney, the legal advice that might be provided, the various concepts and agencies to consider (FCC, FAA, NOAA, etc.), and recommendations.  Without getting too specific, Charles will make efforts to provide those in attendance substantive thoughts to consider as they embark (or continue) in the emerging space economy. Charles will be available for questions and comments both before and after his presentation.
